Description

The phenomenal multiple New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn brings us a sweeping romance of a latter-day Robin Hood hero with a twist.

Jack Audley is a decorated war hero. When peace breaks out, he drifts into the life of a latter-day Robin Hood, robbing from the rich to provide for the veterans who are being ignored by society. But when he holds up the carriage of the dowager Duchess of Wyndham, he learns that he may actually be the true Duke of Wyndham.

Reviews

AudioFile Magazine...
Grace Eversleigh, long-suffering companion to the Dowager Duchess of Wyndham, falls in love with the highwayman who robs the coach carrying her and the duchess. The duchess is convinced that the robber is her long-lost grandson, and the true Duke of Wyndham. Grace is not the only one suffering--the listener suffers right along with her. Kate Reading valiantly tries to breathe life into this hackneyed plot and its simpering, whining characters. The British upper-crust delivery she gives to her portrayals of the aristocratic characters is the only thing memorable about this forgettable story. Quinn, who usually can be counted on for a sure hit, simply has delivered a miss. Skip this. A.C.P. (c) AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine
